Governing body giving false alarm as a watch dog
by Longlivetherenegades ini need help regarding a video where geoffrey jackson likened the governing body to a watch dog given false alarms to its owner just like they do regarding numerous false alarms about the world coming to an end.
here is why i need that video.
to make comparison with the words of geoffrey jackson (the false dog illustration) fully, the words of gerrit losch (who was reading out list of those who had given false predictions and alarms in times past before jehovah’s witnesses took over) .

Conversation with old friend

We talked about the recent changes in the 2023 annual meeting. I especially pointed out the one about getting rid of hourly reporting on monthly time slips. I mentioned that this was a century old teaching - and that many JWs are poor today because of not getting careers and instead spending years in the ministry.
My uncle ( who was an elder for over 50 years) passed away 10 tens ago at the age of 88. He was baptized in1957 at the age of 31. He convinced his 2 sisters ( one of them was my mom ) that Jehovah's Witnesses had the ''truth''. Our family had over 20 baptized members.
His whole life was dedicated to the Jehovah's Witnesses. He only took jobs that had weekends off, day hours and took unpaid vacations in the summers so he could attend assemblies. Never went on any vacations. Just to Canada and New York for speaking parts at the assemblies. Worked as a custodian most of his life. He was just happy to pay his bills. Drove old cars and never went out to restaurants.
He retired at 65 so he could become a full time Pioneer. Spending over 60 hours a month in ''field service'', non-stop elder meetings, congregation meetings and prep work, and spent loads of money on gas. And what did he get in return for his hard work and dedication to the Watchtower Society...NEVER GOT HIS PROMISE TO THE NEW SYSTEM AND A SLAP IN THE FACE FROM THE WATCHTOWER SOCIETY WHEN THEY DECIDED TO GET RID OF MONTHLY REPORTS!

What Does Jump The Shark Mean?
The phrase “jump the shark” is a term in pop culture that originated from the TV show “Happy Days” and is used to describe a decline in quality. It refers to the moment when a TV show or other product has reached its peak and starts to decline in quality. The term comes from an episode of “Happy Days” in which the character Fonzie jumps over a shark while water skiing, which was seen as an absurd and desperate attempt to keep the show interesting. Critics adopted the phrase, and it has since been used to describe TV shows that have ridiculous plot twists and story lines. The term has also been used more broadly to describe any product or trend that has reached its peak and is starting to decline.
I haven't attended a Kingdom Hall, Convention, Assembly meeting in 10 years. The changes from the Watchtower Society has led me to believe that the religion has ''jumped the shark.'' It has become a desperate attempt to pander their product and avoid Watchtower scandals. Here are some ''jumping the shark'' trends that show the Watchtower Society's decline:

I first came across this in the Winter of 74/75 in the Watchtower Farms library one evening while I was doing research/personal study. Needless to say this led to many, many sleepless nights for me and started me on the path to my first 'nervous breakdown'.
Can you elaborate?
I cannot believe how many ''field service hours'' were required in 1943. Also, telling everyone these hours were established directly from Jehovah to the ''faithful and wise servant'' and to ''shut up'' about the insane amount of hours.

These expressions of God’s will by his King and through his established agency constitute his law or rule of action for the “faithful and wise servant” and for their goodwill companions today who will dwell upon the earth for ever in the New World. The Lord breaks down our organization instructions further and makes them more practicable by further instructing us through his “faithful and wise servant”. He says, ‘Let us assign the field, the world, to special pioneers, regular pioneers and companies of Jehovah’s witnesses in an orderly way, sufficient for everyone to thoroughly witness therein, and let us place upon each one the responsibility of caring for the New World interests in these respective assignments.’ He says the requirements for special pioneers shall be 175 hours and 50 back-calls per month, which should develop into a reasonable number of studies; and for regular pioneers 150 hours and as many back-calls and studies as can be properly developed during that time. And for company publishers he says, ‘Let us make a quota of 60 hours and 12 back-calls and at least one study a week for each publisher.’ These directions come to us from the Lord through his established agency directing what is required of us; and, for those who really love the Lord and are guided by his counsel, that is a reasonable service requirement. This expression of the Lord’s will should be the end of all controversy. It is for your good that these requirements are made; for thereby you are enabled to prove your integrity and magnify the Lord’s name.
Samuel Herd at the 2023 Annual Meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses states : '' 2023 congregation Publishers will no longer report the amount of time they spend in the ministry''....
In the July 01, 1943 Watchtower, Jehovah establishes, instructs, and directs the ''faithful and discreet slave'' to establish and direct ''field service hours'' for special pioneers, regular pioneers and companies. ''This expression of the Lord's will should be the end of all controversy.''
In 2023,( supposedly) Jehovah changes his mind about the reporting of time spent in the ministry. No more hours, return visits and placements. Jehovah does a complete turnaround.
Can the change really come from the Watchtower Society facing lawsuits and Governments refusing to give them free money for the treatment of their rank and file?
The Watchtower Society are a bunch of ''weasels.''

Governing Body Member Jeffrey Winder explains how Jehovah reveals understanding of the scriptures ''new light'' in modern times. Does he quote these scriptures? Nope! He tries to weasel the Governing Body away from all the failed doctrines and blames God with gradual flip-flops and only gradual understanding.
'' So, this is what we know from the scriptures and from our own experiences as well, about how the light gets brighter in modern times. It comes about by means of the Holy Spirit, through his channel of the Faithful and Discreet slave. He reveals it gradually and at a time it is needed.''

The are literally blaming God for the failed information they dreamed up. They publish what God reveals to them. I should hope that the JW who hear this will not get caught up in the wordiness of it and miss the point that they are really calling God a liar. ( in other words, if they got it wrong,it's because God didn't reveal it correctly to start with.)
EXACTLY! Notice in this article how they use the word ''clarification'' instead of failed information, false revelations and made up information.

The Governing Body are notorious for reversing previous doctrines with no discussion. Where are the scriptures on the reversal of ''field service hours''? Where are the scriptures on the reversal of ''beards''?
These new ''Governing Body Clowns'' know that they can flip/flop and the rank and file will eat it up. More proof that they are making things up as they go along. There's no divine guidance of any kind among them... just stupid, mislead followers.
